Lake Como is my preferred of all of the northern lakes for the drama of the mountains. There is something about mountains that is both incredibly peaceful and ever so slightly somber. Here, the fog has ensconced the other side of the lake, with the exception of one crest, and this gate to where one villa docks a boat feels like a gate into a state of ‘floating.’ Wouldn’t you love to float in that beauty for a while? Sigh, I would.
