Looking at this photo now, years after I took it, I laugh because this beard man behind his greens is still there at this stand. When I was back living in Firenze in 2021, I bought my greens from him. He is so friendly and happy all the time, and the beard looks exactly the same. I loved this man, though, who looked so elegant and chic on a summer Saturday morning, picking up some mint or a fresh lettuce.
