I remember very vividly taking this photo. Summer sunsets in Firenze are magical; everyone rushes to the ponte, but I prefer to include the timeless lampposts and the shadows of the people along the gentle slope. I remember I had a piece of luggage with me after a night away for work. It had been a late night and I hadn’t slept and all I wanted to do was get back to my apartment, eat and go to sleep. But when I came to the Lungarno and saw the yellow sky, everything felt magical all over again.
