This was a winter day in Parma at a very crowded restaurant for Sunday lunch. A friend and I were waiting for a table, pushed up against the tiny wood bar where the espresso machine was going a mile a minute and the after-lunch digestifs waited for pick-up. I love a little action in a restaurant, and there is nothing like these simple scenes to bring a moment to life.
