This tiny beach town holds such a special place in my heart. No tourist has ever heard of it, and fanciful restaurant and chic hotel it has not, but in the thick of the summer, all I really care about is having sand between my toes and laughing until the wee hours with really good friends, and grilled octopus, of course. A very quintessential part of the Italian beach club scene are the ombrellone. Each club has their own colors which last for decades. When one of them gets a new set of ombrellone- oh mix dio— everyone is talking about it all summer!
