I’ve been to Lucca many times, the first with my mom in 2014. I took this on a visit in early spring a few years later. There are a handful of beautiful churches in the small città and I loved the contrast of these two on the worn, marble steps. Besides Lucca being a very special Tuscan town, and very pleasing on the eye, it has always and will always be tied to my mamma, and a loaf of walnut bread we snacked on all the way back to Firenze.
