Via Tornabuoni is perhaps the most elegant and beautiful shopping street in Firenze. In the morning it can be eerily quiet, as street cleaners work swiftly to tidy any possible floating receipt or flower out of place, and by mid-morning it is a criss-crossing stream of bicycles, professionals in suits and dresses, and once in a while, someone walking their dogs.
