There is a wonderful trattoria on a hill outside Firenze, where I used to take hours-long walks on beautiful days, from spring to winter. When the sun shines in Tuscany, it could be mid-February and it feels nothing short of glorious. I always wondered why anyone would come here for dinner; it would be too dark to see the view, and the chickens would be sleeping.
