I’ve taken this photo, or some variation of this, more times than I can count. While living in San Niccolo in 2021, I took as many sunset walks as I could squeeze in. The way the mountains overlap each other in the distance is painterly; like one of the artists from the neighborhood took a thin brush and drew them there, then filled them in with constantly changing hues. There are few things more peaceful than a walk in the hills of Tuscany at sunset, as absolutely cheeseball as that sounds.
